RUBENS ASKENAR composer

a brief account of an island or how to deactivate a war machine

"The work is constructed as a sonic-visual metaphor that explores the evolution of ecosystems topologically closed as in an island. It shows the nature of their mutations, which obey, not to structural changes but to the flow of its surface. The island has no structure; it is epidermal like an image. Without foundations it is impossible to withstand on the island; set adrift on their shallowness, only the art of orientation is possible, passing through a "reverse engineering" of its topological nature. The "war machine" and therefore the possibility of exteriority, is settled in the steel flow that defines the changing nature of the island, which after a prolonged exercise of domain, makes closure its way of being". Drago Díaz.
