Munus is a piece made by Rubens Askenar in collaboration with Manolo Rodriguez for 'Interior tourist' Festival. The piece is a self-generated soundscape study of the Communal Lands of the territorial division of the Guanches (Canarian aborigines). An invitation to internal tourism where different ideas of community are investigated from a fundamental position of inoperability or extreme resistance. These ideas are materialized through to triple performance, in real time, in which both passers-by and the two participating artists give shape to the munus (gift / debt) of frictions and unpredictable slits produced by the communal artistic exercise.
